Dr. Rebecca Opamen
Dr. Rebecca Opamen is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor dedicated to helping clients find healing, growth, and hope. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, dual Master’s degrees in Juvenile Forensic Psychology and Counseling from Prairie View A&M University, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Texas Tech University.
Her approach is both holistic and somatic, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Conscious Yoga, and Imago Relationship Therapy. She also emphasizes the importance of social and cultural influences in the healing process, ensuring that care is culturally responsive and accessible.
Dr. Opamen has extensive experience serving diverse populations, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, students, veterans, those in crisis, and clients with a wide range of mental health needs. At the heart of her practice is a commitment to supporting underserved communities and providing a safe, compassionate space for each individual’s journey.
